Mission & Goals

The overall mission of the HER User Group is to foster the development and more effective delivery of SAP functionality to the higher education and research community.

The HER User Group will act as a liaison between SAP and HER Member Institutions and between the Instititutions themselves.  It will work with SAP AG and its national subsidiaries in a collaborative manner so as to be:

• The route via which HER Institutions can communicate their mutual requirements and concerns to SAP
• A forum in which HER Institutions can agree on specifications for software development/enhancement requests to be submitted to SAP
• A grouping of resources for development of functionality that SAP has indicated that it will not develop itself
• A knowledge base forum where HER Institutions faced with similar problems can learn from each other and by sharing the Group's knowledge of implementation and functionality issues that are particular to the HER sector
• A forum to which SAP will communicate initiatives into the HER community
